The union engine is the product, not a setting
Trade levels, wage regions, versioned agreements, travel rate cards and overtime rule sets are first-class records — the same records the schedule and the job cost read.
Built for ICI sub-trades, not adapted from service
Insulation, sheet metal, HVAC, electrical, scaffold, firestop — crews working under a GC on hospitals, plants and outages. That is the only customer we build for.
Honest about what is built
Everything on this page is in the product today unless it says Beta.

The problem
Material gets ordered by phone, received by whoever is there, and costed when the bill arrives — weeks after the job needed to know.
- Orders placed by text with no record on the job
- Receiving not tracked, so shortages surface on site
- Pricing lives in supplier PDFs from last year
- Stock in the van and the warehouse is anyone's guess
How Appello handles it
- Supplier purchase orders with partial receiving and multi-PO shipments
- Material orders per job with a status on every line and backorders tracked
- Catalog with per-unit and per-dimension pricing by source
- Inventory locations, transfers, check-out to jobs, low-stock alerts (beta)
- Supplier bills synced from QuickBooks Online, coded to the job
Materials & Inventory works with
One record per job, per worker, per asset. The modules share it.
Questions we get about materials & inventory
Does Appello issue purchase orders to suppliers?
Yes. Appello issues supplier purchase orders against the job, receives them in part as material arrives, and handles a shipment that covers more than one PO. Production orders can pull from those POs and from inventory. Material orders record what the field needs, for which job and by when.
Is inventory available to every customer?
Inventory is in beta and enabled per customer. If you want it, ask and we will turn it on with you.
Can I import my supplier price sheets?
Yes. Appello's AI assistant validates the sheet, applies it to the catalog and syncs pricing by source.
Bring a supplier price sheet
We'll load it into the catalog and cost a material order to a job during the demo.
