How current is the labour cost?
As current as your approvals. When a timesheet row is approved, its cost lands on the job and cost code immediately; there is no month-end batch.
Where do material and subcontractor costs come from?
From accounts payable bills entered in Appello or synced in from QuickBooks Online, coded to the job and cost code. Material orders are not counted as committed cost.
Do I still need my accounting system?
Yes. Appello is the operational ledger — job, cost code, budget, forecast. Your accounting system stays the general ledger, with QuickBooks Online synced both ways.
