Construction inventory management softwareKnow what you bought, what you ordered, and where it went.
Appello keeps your material catalog, your material orders and, in beta, your stock in one place. The catalog holds what you buy, priced per unit or per dimension by supplier, with distributor discounts. Material orders record what each job needs, by when, and what is back-ordered. Supplier purchase orders cover partial receiving and multi-PO shipments, and production orders pull from POs and inventory. Warehouse and truck stock, issuing to jobs and low-stock alerts are in beta and turned on per customer.
What's live, and what's in beta
The catalog, material orders and supplier POs are live. Inventory is in beta: it works, it is turned on per customer, and we will tell you plainly what it does today.
Material catalog
Materials and groups priced per unit or per dimension, with sizes, attributes and SKU or part numbers.
Supplier pricing and discounts
Price each material by source and apply buy-side distributor discounts. Supplier price sheets load through an import that checks them before they apply.
Material orders by job
Order material against the job with a required-by date and priority, track status per line, and record back-ordered quantities.
Supplier purchase orders
Supplier POs with partial receiving and multi-PO shipments. Production orders pull from POs and inventory.
Warehouse and truck stock
Warehouses, trucks and yards as locations, each with quantity on hand and a minimum and maximum per item.
Issue and return to the job
Check stock out to a job and cost code at unit cost, return what's left, and see what each job was issued on its own tab.
Low stock and a movement ledger
Items below their minimum show as low stock. Every transfer, adjustment, issue and return is on a ledger with the unit cost and who did it.
What Appello's inventory doesn't do
- Inventory is in beta and turned on per customer. Ask for it and we will set it up with you.
- Material orders are placed from the web app, not from the phone.
- Serialized items and kits are not tracked in inventory.

Questions contractors ask
Does Appello handle purchase orders and receiving?
Yes. Appello handles supplier purchase orders with partial receiving and multi-PO shipments, and production orders that pull from POs and inventory. Material orders record what each job needs, by when, and what is back-ordered. Warehouse and truck stock, issuing to jobs and low-stock alerts are in beta and turned on per customer, so ask and we will set them up with you.
Is inventory available to every customer?
Inventory is in beta and turned on per customer. It covers warehouse, truck and yard locations, quantity on hand with minimums and maximums, transfers, adjustments, issuing stock to a job and cost code, returns and low-stock alerts. If you want it, ask, and we will turn it on and set it up with you.
Can I load my supplier price sheets?
Yes. The price-sheet import checks a supplier's sheet before it changes anything, then applies the prices to your catalog by source, including distributor discounts. Materials can be priced per unit or per dimension, with sizes, attributes and SKU or part numbers, so estimates and material orders use the price you actually pay.
How do I see what material went to each job?
With inventory turned on, every item checked out to a job is recorded against that job and a cost code, with its quantity, unit cost and who issued it. The job has its own tab listing what it was issued, and returns are recorded the same way. Material orders show what each job asked for, by when, and what is still back-ordered.
