For foremenRun the crew, not the paperwork.

Appello's construction foreman app puts the day on the phone: the schedule with job details and directions, clock-in inside the job's geofence, the crew's daily forms with PIN sign-off, and timesheets to approve or send back. Notes, photos, RFIs and progress reports go from the site to the office as soon as they're saved. The office sets the pay rules and the forms, so the foreman isn't copying hours onto paper at the end of the day.

What the foreman does on the phone, and what the office no longer chases.

  1. 1MondayOpen the schedule, get directions to the new site, clock in when you arrive.
  2. 2TuesdayFill out the hazard assessment before work starts. The crew signs with their PINs.
  3. 3WednesdayDrawings don't match the site? Raise an RFI with a photo from the phone.
  4. 4ThursdayEnter a progress report and post a note for the project manager.
  5. 5FridayReview the crew's timesheets. Approve them or send one back with a note.

What the app doesn't do

  • Clock-in and forms need a connection in the current app; there is no offline mode.
  • No push notifications when the schedule changes. Check the app for the current schedule.
  • Entering a whole crew's week in one grid is done on the web, not the phone.
  • Required forms don't block clock-in or timesheets; they show as the day's to-do.
  • The app is in English only.

Questions foremen ask

Can a foreman enter time for the crew on the phone?

Yes, with the right permission. A foreman can log time for a crew member from the phone, split it across cost codes, and approve or send back timesheets with a note. Entering a whole crew's week in one grid, with overtime split automatically, is done on the web by the foreman or the office.

What happens if someone clocks in outside the job site?

The clock-in still goes through, but it is flagged and the worker has to give a reason. Each job has its own geofence radius, set by the office. Flagged punches show up for review before approval, so nobody is stuck in the truck because GPS drifted, and the office still sees every exception.

Does the foreman app work offline?

No. Clocking in and submitting forms in the Appello app need a cell or Wi-Fi connection. On a site with no signal, the foreman logs time and fills out forms once back in coverage, or the office enters the crew's hours on the web from the foreman's notes. Approved hours then flow to payroll the same way.

How does the crew sign a safety form?

The foreman fills out the form on the phone, then each crew member confirms it with their own PIN, so there's no passing paper around. Forms can include photos and signatures. Every submission is emailed to the recipients the office chose, and it stays on the job record for anyone who needs it later.
