Founded in 1958 by brothers Albert and Richard Kleeberg, this sheet metal fabrication company began operations from a two-car garage in Chicopee, MA with a focus on precision metal work. Over the next decade, Kleeberg grew exponentially by performing the metal work on four skyscrapers that make up the Springfield skyline. To accommodate large industrial projects, the company relocated to South Hadley, MA and finally to Ludlow, MA in 1989, where its facility has been renovated six times to a staggering 100,000 square foot fabrication facility. With the addition of Kleeberg Mechanical Services in 1999, the company broadened its range of solutions to provide comprehensive customer service and support. Today, Kleeberg operates with approximately 200 employees and maintains additional operations in Cromwell, CT. The company is led by CEO Dan Kleeberg and President Scott Cushman, continuing the family's commitment to outstanding customer service and execution. Kleeberg offers a wide range of both sheet metal and mechanical services including HVAC duct fabrication, design-build and design-assist services, building automation systems, BIM modeling, industrial fabrication and welding, mechanical piping, central plant mechanical services, fire damper inspection, pollution control, and preventative maintenance. The company utilizes state-of-the-art 3D HVAC CAD software including AutoCAD MEP, Autodesk Navisworks, Autodesk Revit, and Trimble MEP Point Layout for enhanced coordination and collaboration. The company serves diverse market sectors including colleges and universities, commercial facilities, healthcare, industrial and manufacturing, K-12 schools, power and electrical, and semiconductor facilities. Notable projects include the Yale University Kline Chemistry Laboratory (70,000 sq ft laboratory with HVAC ductwork, high plume fans, custom stack systems, and exhaust heat recovery system), Global Foundries semiconductor plant (process exhaust systems and make-up air systems with duct installations ranging from 120 inches to 4 inches in diameter), College of the Holy Cross St. Joseph's Chapel, ESPN headquarters in Bristol, CT, and Baystate Hospital expansion (105,000 sq ft with supply and exhaust systems). As a union contractor affiliated with SMART (Locals 83 and 63) and SMACNA member, Kleeberg continues to support the needs of customers throughout New England through innovation and investment in leading-edge technology and production practices.
