Hayman Construction Inc. is Ontario's oldest and Canada's second oldest construction firm, founded in 1872 by John Hayman who emigrated from England and arrived in London, Ontario on May 27, 1868. The company began operations in 1872 when John Hayman started working with his brother William under the name 'Hayman Brothers, Masonry Contractors'. By 1887, John's sons had joined the family firm, which operated under the name 'John Hayman and Sons'. In 1913, it was incorporated as 'The John Hayman and Sons Company, Limited'. In 2003, 'Hayman Construction Inc.' was incorporated as a wholly owned subsidiary, and all projects have been run under this name since March 2006. In 2022, Hayman Construction proudly celebrated its 150th anniversary. Currently operated by fifth-generation members of the founder's family, Hayman Construction has maintained its reputation for construction excellence throughout Southwestern Ontario for over 150 years. The company employs two Professional Engineers on staff, and clients always deal with the Principals of the firm, ensuring quality and attentive service. Office and Supervisory Staff are Gold Seal Certified by the Canadian Construction Association. Hayman Construction provides comprehensive Design-Build, Construction Management, General Contracting, Concrete Forming, Pre-Engineered Building services, Free Budget Estimating, and Fixed Price Quoting throughout the region. Notable projects include the GM-Cami Automotive Plant 78-Bay Addition ($41.5 million design-build project), Western University facilities, Fanshawe College Building F, multiple Toyota facility expansions, Home Depot stores across the region, London Airport improvements, and numerous bridge and water infrastructure projects. Hayman Construction is headquartered at 636 Wellington Street in London, Ontario, and operates throughout Southwestern Ontario.
